It was autumn when Kate decided to make owls. It was getting darker and colder and it seemed like the best time to design some barns! Some tufted owls followed. Kate also wants to make some great greys.
Kate named her owl designs after ancient writers and geniuses because owls are obviously very clever and interesting fellows.

The Barn Owls are printed in shades of white, grey and brown. Sometimes silvery textures are added to them to add depth to their colours. They are individually printed by hand so no two owls are ever the same. Lady Barn Owls have speckles on thier chests or the underside of their wings. Patterns are exaggerated as Kate likes the textures.

Kate prints these tufted owls in shades of brown with gold tones, creating speckled and marbled textures.
